Jon’s sound is a lit­tle bit of everything—in the best pos­si­ble way. Draw­ing inspi­ra­tion from artists rang­ing from Talk­ing Heads, Steely Dan, and Ste­vie Ray Vaugh­an to Frank Zap­pa, Beck, LCD Soundsys­tem, and Umphrey’s McGee, his music bounces between funk, rock, jam, blues, exper­i­men­tal grooves, and what­ev­er else feels right in the moment.
His orig­i­nals might set­tle into one style or throw a hand­ful of influ­ences togeth­er like a musi­cal stew. Or, as Jon puts it, a mar­gari­ta. Either way, expect an eclec­tic night with plen­ty of per­son­al­i­ty and absolute­ly no bor­ing back­ground music.
